Upcoming PC Games to Keep an Eye on in 2022

Big releases like Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring will crush poor Saints Row and SIFU.

Bandai Namco recently postponed the release of Elden Ring by an entire month, which has now created a minefield of high-profile premieres in February 2022. There are going to be too many games. See it yourself.

These are just the most significant releases:

Dying Light 2 – February 4.

Horizon Forbidden West – February 18

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen – February 22

SIFU – February 22

Total War: Warhammer 3 – February 17

Elden Ring – February 25

Saints Row – February 25

And that’s on top of The King of Fighters XV, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires, Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection, and Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons all coming out in February too. And that’s at least 11 notable releases during the month.

In addition, gamers will get access to Monster Hunter: Rise (January 12) and God of War (January 14) on PC and Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Rainbow Six Extraction. March will delight gamers as well: Gran Turismo 7 (March 4), a non-xtgen version of GTA 5, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands are to be released.

The beginning of 2022 is to be highly exciting for gamers, especially in February. Of course, there’s always a chance that the release dates will be postponed, and there will be time to enjoy one game at a time.

Battlefield 2042 is not ready yet, even though it was promised that the game would be released in November 2021. It was rescheduled once again.

Regarding another game, the relaunch of Saints Row did not appeal to the audience from the very announcement, and it is even more impossible to compete with the game from the authors of Dark Souls.

Remember how Dark Souls fans actively discussed every rumor, leak, and a screenshot of Elden Ring? It’s going to multiply. Saints Row and other smaller releases like SUFI and interactive action game by Vampire: The Masquerade do not have a chance to shine.

Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring are destined to be the key February favorites. The first game will show the highest sales rates, while the second one will be actively discussed for many weeks, either before or after the launch.

There are going to be an immense amount of guides, videos, walkthroughs, and streamers the Dark Souls heir will induce – especially considering that after Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a full-fledged role-playing component with the ability to create different character builds with varying types of weapons returned. And it’s all in a much more traditional open world.

Remember when Titanfall 2 got caught between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare? And after all, many still recall it was EA, but the head of Respawn, Vince Zampella, has repeatedly confirmed that the decision was up to the developers.

Interestingly, Respawn had no idea how much attention will attract Battlefield 1 – the studio realized it only at E3 2016 when the DICE shooter stole all the attention from the poor Titanfall 2. But the studio believed that a quality product would sell itself. But it didn’t.

If the game is good, it will succeed. Some still believe that, but even Rockstar invests hundreds of millions of dollars to promote games – and this studio seems to be followed by absolutely everyone. Every action the company takes on social media generates hundreds of news stories. And no, they’re still doing publicity.

Therefore, I wish luck to all the developers who are working on the upcoming releases in February.

What is the game you are waiting for the most?
